The End of the Year as We Know It

So tell me, how do you typically end your year when it comes to dieting? Do you pack on the last ten pounds before 12-31? Do you work hard over the next several months to lose a few only to gain it back during November and December? Are you waiting for the New Year to start taking control of your life?

And will you be taking the same approach this year? Or is there something you can do today to change that pattern?

I’ll bet there is.

Your Ex and Dieting

Ponder this:

Did you ever notice that giving up on your diet is so much like breaking up with that special someone?

When you give up on your diet, you remove all those diet aids (food scales, measuring cups and spoons, diet program information) from the kitchen. Gone. Out of sight; out of mind. Diet over.

When you get rid of that special someone, you remove the pictures, the cute little stuffed animals, and that dumb heart-shaped rock you found walking on the beach. Gone. Out of sight; out of mind. Relationship over.

Except the relationship over seems to hurt more? Why is that?
