Is your health worth $5

It is the year 2006. We live in a technological world. Gas prices are skyrocketing here in the U.S. Other countries are already accustomed to ridiculously high priced gasoline. We are busy. People are working two jobs. Or your current job is requiring more and more of your life. Parents are transporting their kids to more activities in one week than some of us were involved in during our entire childhood. Parents are taking care of their parents. Our time is at a premium.

With all this chaos, certain things tend to go by the “weigh”side – like keeping a well stocked refrigerator and pantry. Let’s face it, who has the time to go grocery shopping with the types of schedules just mentioned? Dining out, convenience food and fast food become options – options that have led to an obese world.

Then one day online grocery shopping becomes an option. Around here it is http://www.peapod.com/! The Nay Sayers call it a scam. They say it is a rip off; it is overpriced; the delivery fee is too high; the produce and meat will not be as good (note: most people have said it is better).

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I would think that every so often, a few extra bucks shelled out to keep you healthy, happy and skinny is more than worth it. A few extra bucks to free up some of your time is not worth it?

Last night I shopped for groceries in fifteen minutes. So it is costing me $5 for delivery. Last night I found some time to read a chapter from a new book I recently purchased.
